Legal Adulterers, Belief Systems & Crescentologism: The Case of Muslims.

A belief, true or false, is a power by itself. In Islam, the belief in Qur’an and Hadiths of the Prophet [ the true (Sahih) or Qudsi-sacrid (by God through Muhammad’s tongue) and the false [Maudu’)] is a power.]]  If it was believed by Muslims. In Christianity, the belief that Jesus sacrifice himself to save his followers [true or false] , or as Son of God [[true or false]] is a power too. The same,  exactly as the belief among Jews [as the chosen people true or false]] is a power.

According to Crescentologism, true knowledge, [not faked or false knowledge]  should be the power, to understand each other, in order to appreciate, and to compromise. Therefore, these beliefs should not be touched, otherwise those who question these beliefs will be under attacks from the devout people of  these beliefs. Such attacks take the shape of assassination or killing, or bombing, or paying ransom to kill them. They are called Blasphemous and heretics. According to Crescentology, keep the people beliefs out of the debate, in order to get better [TRUE]  knowledge deals with logic and reasoning in worlds affair. In other words, Crescentology belief is the truth about the moon which is a natural phenomenon, where both sides of the crescent [the disappearing and the shown sides] exist as the full moon.

Taking sides as Muslim, Jewish or Christian, or any other ideology such as communism, Nazism, Capitalism, or Globalism (as understood by the dominant powers), spoils human mentality and reasoning to deal with disputation or conflicts, and makes human beings  close to animals who have physical and material needs, and use their power to satisfy their needs.

To get rid of this religious or spiritual power [true or false], is to follow Crescentology approach, where both fighting beliefs can be dismissed in dealing emotionally with the truth finding about conflicts concerning individuals (Husband and wife), or two persons, or two nations, or two regions or unions [such as communism-capitalism, NATO and non-NATO forces, EU and non-EU, East-West, Orientalists-Occidentals, etc.,

To prove the power of belief [True or False], among Christians, Muslims, Jews, Capitalism, Communism etc., you may see the existent hatred [or at least opposition in theory and practice which may lead to initiating war, or terrorist act like 9/11] among them which was promoted by ideological [true or false] beliefs. For example, the revolution of the Marxist’s Proletariat in Communism against Capitalist systems; the Crusades to save Jesus land from Arab and Muslim infidels;  The Jewish occupation of Palestine and the Arab Palestinian resistance; The Nazis to purify the white Aryan race from Jews and others; The Turks and Armenians, Arabs and Kurds, wealthy and poor people; Hindus and Muslims; fundamentalism (or conservatism or liberalism) in the same system. All these ideologies incite hatred and hostility among followers of each who anticipates such oppositions without reasoning and without taking into consideration the idea of Crescentologism, where the OTHER, have the same rules of faith.

On the familial level, take for example the marriage contract, which makes prostitution legal for  one woman to have sex with one man, and of course cheaper than illegal prostitution.  What a contract means? In politics, in marriage, in a business deal. It’s a contract between two parties. If contracts were violated by opposing, or cheating [in marriage] or using force [in war, or terrorism] , contracts are nullified. Any negation of contract practiced while there is a disagreement,  contracts are becoming  illegal. Anarchy and chaos of affairs but still culturally legal in marriages.

In marriage, the contract works to satisfy the needs of the (male) man not the (female) woman.  It is a contract for obedience. For stripping women’s rights. The [male] man or [female] woman or one party [the more power physical, emotional or spiritual] of the same-sex partners have the right to deviate from the contract,. Some male dominated cultures call it manhood, what the man does, is not the same as the woman. Theological and apologist interpretations sometimes lead to errors of understanding.

In the Muslim World, there are many traditions undermine the woman’s position and her rights in the social structure. For example, in one tradition, Sunnah, (which is saying of the Prophet Muhammad-Peace Be Upon Him-pbuh) if a husband sleeps angry with his woman [his Wife], the woman is doomed to go to Hell.  In other words, if he wanted to have sex with her, and she refused for any reason, God himself will be angry too. Thus women are forbidden from Heaven for that sin. This is for many intellectuals is nonsense. Muhammad-pbuh,  will not say such ridiculed statement because he is wise as a Prophet does not discriminate. Because Adam and Eve altogether with Iblis (Satan)  left Heaven. In reasoning I might say, Arabs and Muslims believe it strongly and may say it. But the Prophet-Muhammad  will not discriminate. So it is not the religious Truth practiced about men and women as equal, but the cultural faith which incite discrimination and prejudice.

Why? Take for example another saying circulated widely among Muslim Sunnis and Shi’as alike, which  is not true that Muhammad-pbuh said it. “Most women” he said: “ I saw were dwellers of Hell.”

Taking into consideration that the Prophet sometimes according to Aishah, wakes up one night, she  found the Prophet-pbuh crying, when she asked him, he said: “I am not sure, God will be satisfied with me, therefore, I am not sure, that Allah will send me to Heaven.  If the Prophet himself does not have the knowledge that he will be sent to Heaven or Hell without the Will of God,  how can he tells that most women will be in Hell. Logically the saying is reflecting misinterpretation, or it is  false, and therefore “Maudu’ ” or forgery.

To authenticate what I said the full Hadith says:  (in Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 2, Number 28)

“Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas: The Prophet said: “I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers were women who were ungrateful.” It was asked, “Do they disbelieve in Allah?” or are they ungrateful to Allah? He replied, “They are ungrateful to their husbands and are ungrateful for the favors and the good (charitable deeds) done to them. If you have always been good (benevolent) to one of them and then she sees something in you (not of her liking), she will say, ‘I have never received any good from you.”

Some Muslim scholars do not reject this Hadith, but justify it “ even if we take the hadith at its literal meaning, is it really an issue? They say: “Since we’re all supposed to be striving for Paradise anyway, we should welcome the hadith as advice on how not to act.” But what the majority means? What “They” means? And who’s the minority in Paradise, then?

Taking the Hadith as is, justifying that “The Prophet, pbuh, MAY have seen certain behavior from the women of his community. Out of love and concern, he warned them that these behaviors would lead to Hell rather than Paradise. This hadith is telling us how serious ingratitude is. And it’s a warning to both sexes.” But understanding the Hadith culturally, and circulate it as fair to both sexes, is misleading, by taking it literally, without using “MAY”.

Women in almost all societies tolerate injustices from their husbands during the entire period of their lifetime. 99% of the wives are treated like servants. They have to abide with their husbands’ sexual desires and wishes. However, A Muslim does not give women the right to complain, or to react against the injustice of their husbands, or to show the same bad attitude to the husband as he shows. If a woman does any of this, then hell fire is her destiny!!

Islam doesn’t say that. Men and women are equal, Islam says,  except in seventeen qualities in terms of their physical flesh mentioned by al-Ghazali nine centuries ago. These natural differences are mixed with religious beliefs, as if they were dictations from God. While God says: “O humankind! We created you from a single (pair) of male and female, [Adam and Eve together] and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know and cooperate with one another.” (Quran 49:13) God in this Ayah did not discriminate between man and woman. But cultures do. [The between two brackets are the understood statements by people as they professed by Muslims theologian scholars , not what they meant by God. Because some Ayat, verses, have two meaning, one Zahir, clearly understood, and the other is Batin, covert, no one knows the meaning of it in Islam, except the few who have knowledge of Prophets or Messengers of God.] God also says in Hadith Qudsi:

“I am as My servant thinks I am. I am with him when he makes mention of Me. [saying subhana Allah, al-Hamdu lillah for example] If he makes mention of Me to himself [La hawla wala Quwwata Illa Billah, Inn lillah wa-Inna lahu Raji’un] for example, I make mention of him to Myself; [ so if his name is Hasan, God will do the same, If I say Allah, or subhana Allah, God will say Hasan, Subhan Hasan]  and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, [In a Mosque for example, where Salatu al –Jama’ah, group prayer for example[ I make mention of him in an assembly better than it [May be God means, assembly of angels, or believers in his presence, which he already chosen, for example] . And if he draws near to Me an arm’s length, I draw near to him a fathom’s length [for example raising his hands up asking my help, I will be more close to him] . And if he comes to Me walking, [to the mosque, for example] I go to him at speed [I will hurry up to meet him faster than he does].

Commenting on the Hadit, Where is God while Israel for example, is doing in the Middle East what followers of God hates. What did God Do? Where is He or she , when Israel destroyed Lebanon and Gaza? In WWI and WWII, and other historical events?  Where S/He Was? Where did S/he go? Surely according to the Hadith Qudsi, he ‘s supporting the believers, God is their ears, their eyes, their hands, and their feet. Israel according to this Hadith, then, is His people not the Muslims, because Muslims were fleeing, and God was fleeing too with them according to this Hadith Qudsi.

My point here, is not to falsify the Hadith, or that God has nothing to do in what’s happening on earth, for simple reason, there is no justice on earth. If God existed on earth to take care of His/Her people, Israel will not defeat God’s people. America will not destroy Heroshima, and had victory. Otherwise, God will have two faces, which negates  the essence of Islam and Oneness of God, and prove the two gods idea.

Another Hadith from Bukhari [concerning terrorism thought, the two brackets added from the author of this article] says: “Whosoever shows enmity to someone devoted to Me, I shall be at war with him.[[whose the devout to Him? Everyone can claim that s/he is devout to Him]] My servant draws not near to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties I have enjoined upon him, [[means God is One, prayers, zakah, sawm, and Haj]] and My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory works so that I shall love him. [[to have God loves you, for example, and become one with Him, with eyes to see, ears to hear, hand to strike, and feet to walk ]] When I love him I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him, [[ we are together, if  s/he (the devout) was defeated because he sees, hears, strikes, and walks as God’s eyes, hands, feet, and ears]]  and were he to ask Me for refuge,  I would surely grant him it. [[This is a promise from God, for devout persons of taking care of them]]  I do not hesitate about anything as much as I hesitate about [seizing] the soul of My faithful servant: he hates death and I hate hurting him. (Bukhari)

This Hadith is doubtful, if not true. Why? If people believed that they understand it, it will make them blind if they think that they are the devout  people God talks about. They will tell you, that we draw near to God, and God loves us. They will tell you the love of God considers us as his hand strikes with our hands, his feet walk with ours, and his eyes are seeing things through  our eyes. Jihadists, Salafis and fundamentalist  believe blindly this Hadith, as if God said it on the tongue of Muhammad-pbuh. Which enhances their power arguing that their way is much better than OTHERS, therefore, they call themselves, Junud allah, Solders of God, or Hizbullah, the Party of God. Or the Ikhwan Muslimen, Muslim Brothers. Or Muhammad’s Army. Considering other people as denied from the mercy of God which is only granted for them. So they act as small gods terrorizing other sections in their own society  as well as in other societies in Europe, and the United States.

So if people believe they can strike by the hand of God,  they do think, mistakenly, that God is the One who is striking with their hands. Their eyes see as if God is seeing with their eyes, and if they walk in the way of God, God is walking through their feet. Such interpretation makes them Solders of God, or Hizbullah, or Ikhwan Muslimeen, etc., depending on cultural belief.

This belief of Hadiths as true is a perception or misinterpretation, fools  young people to follow Osama Bin Laden’s al-Qaidah,  for example, or suicide bombers, or Ikhwan Muslimen, or Hizbullah or Hamas or any other followers of dogmatic belief system. This destroying thought has its roots in these Hadiths if interpreted in the above fashion. . Because logically they are nonsense if they are interpreted the way Muslims interpret it. Unfortunately,  this  interpretation is widely believed by theologian and common Muslims. Therefore, continuing these Hadiths as they were interpreted and understood  means continuing terrorist acts against perceived others who do not act like these gods according to their interpretations.  With the perception that God is walking with us, seeing what we see, and hearing only what we hear, and of course, when we strike, He, God is striking with our hands. Exactly like the tradition widely believed says about unseen angels fighting side by side with Muslims at the first battle of Badr  “It is not you who throw( arrows), God does.”

Is there any other interpretation from Muslim fuqaha (Jurisprudence)? Instead of  debating the issue, any one brings this to discussion is accused to be Blasphemous and heretic. This is a big problem in the Muslim world destroys their mentality and fire up their emotions. But how can we prove that some of these very well circulated Ahadiths (Sayings) among Muslims are illogical, and should not be interpreted the way these theologian or fundamentalist groups believe it is true to recruit believers in their structures using such Sayings. Because they become acting gods walking, seeing, hearing, and striking. This is a dangerous interpretation. I believe,

Perception of these groups is the danger on other disbelievers as well as those from the same  society, especially those who question these illogical or misinterpreted Ahadith (sayings).

I am a Muslim by faith, not a theologian,  I am following a philosophical approach  using logic in the above argument. And logic means reasoning. These Ahadith, unfortunately are interpreted in favor of some faith-leaders to deceive innocent people that these are Ahadith describe their group of faithful, as if they are gods, like Salafis, or Wahhabis, or Ikhwan Muslimem, or Hizbullah, or Hamas. And other people are their enemies. Exactly as it was the case of Jews and Palestine, Nazis and Jews in Germany, or the Cold-War or East and West or Edward Said’s Orientalism in some aspects.

In the last nine centuries these Ahadith constitute the Muslim mentality, where these Hadiths sometimes called Qudsi, means, that God speaks by the tongue of Muhammad-pbuh are misinterpreted to satisfy certain cultural interests. So these Ahadith are sacred, and cannot be touched or debated according to theologians. It is done. And it is a sin to question old interpretation, which might be called by intellectuals Ijtihad, giving decisions according to the situation, time, place, and interest. This is a call for Crescentologism, sooner, my coming book. (2690 words) www.hasanyahya.com

How the Renaissance  Began in Europe?

Hasan Yahya, Ph.ds

Arabs today need a “Renaisance Group” not a “Renaisance Man”  as was the case in Europe. A group to lead people toward real Arab Renaisance.

In Europe, the Renaissance  spanned almost as a cultural movement three hundred years (from the 14th to the 17th century) in Europe to take its perfect form.

In the Arab countries so far, depending on historical factors and political changes after the Uttoman Empire collapse, have a little under one century period.

In Europe, away from the Muslim and Arab influence of wars, too many elements were in action and goals planned or expected were set for accomplishments. Wars between competing states have been launched, Some defeated, others were victorious. Enlightenment age was  the result of competition between the state and the church. The facts of science  began to replace the spiritual facts about the universe.

The Arab countries, unfortunately have less control of wars, because wars were under colonial powers control. With no competition between state and church, the competition was between national identity and occupying forces.  The struggle was directed toward  formulatin an identity lost for several centuries. And to be free from foreign domination. This was the prime goal in most Arab countries, immediately after the collapse of the Uttoman Empire.

The factor of searching for Arab identity, was inspired by the attempt made by Jamal Abdul-Nasser of Egypt in 1951, as well as the nationalist Movement in other Arab countries, in what was known as the Nationalists Syrians,(initially led by Christian Arabs)  transformed to Nationalist Arabs led by the resurrection party in both Iraq and Syria.

While both were defeated after 1967 war, The competition trnsfered to be between nationalists led by Egypt, and Islamists led by Saudi Arabia (who hosted most Muslim Brothers leaders from Egypt after the defeat of their movement by hanging Sayyed Qutb, the spiritual father of the Muslim Brothers after Hassan al-Banna)

In Europe, science and arts, chemistry, biology, physics and humanities sciences began to take place rigorously following the spirit of age of scientific investigation. The population size was exploding, new technologies were established under industrial rules. Information was booming by discoveries of other areas, peoples, and cultures. The need for securing lines of communication through oceans created the need for new forces and new type of information to secure ability to secure shores, transportation lines, and factories overseas, Maps were created, knowledge became the supreme power for modern nations. Colonization was a must for powerful nations, the poor nations and poor peoples lack for education, information, effective means for resources production.  Knowledge defeated ignorance all over the world. Domination of the rich powerful nations to the rich resources nations was common to Industrial nations. Life is no more spiritual, materialism is becoming the new god of industrial nations.

In the Arab countries, North African Arab countries were struggling colonialism, few Arab intellectuals were having education outside the Kuttab schools, until Taha Hussein graduated fro the Sorbone, and appointed as the Minister of Education, where he signed the first law in his job, which was making education free for all, instead of education for the wealthy in 1924.

Few Arab countries were independent, but most of them were struggling to get rid of colonialim, which was working to suppress any progress made by the people on lands. A practice enforced equally, to keep colonial powers in control  and national aspirations incabable of ruling themselves.

Therefore, science and art including chemistry, biology, physics and humanities sciences did not have the chance to strat an age of scientific investigation. While Aab population was increasing, they were not permitted to technologies as was the case in Europe which defeated ignorance.

In the Arab countries, poor people lack education, information effective means for resources production, which was almost completely owned and controlled by colonial powers. People were more spiritualists than materialists as the case in Europe.

In Europe, Renaissance began in Florence in the Late Middle Ages and later spreading to the rest of Europe. As a cultural movement, it encompassed a resurgence of learning based on classical sources, the development of linear perspective in painting, and gradual but widespread educational reform. Traditionally, this intellectual transformation has resulted in the Renaissance being viewed as a bridge between the Middle Ages and the Modern Times. Although the Renaissance saw revolutions in many intellectual pursuits, as well as social and political upheaval, it is perhaps best known for its artistic developments and the contributions of such polymaths as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, who inspired the term “Renaissance Man”.

In the Arab countries wealthy people were selfish, civil organizations were traditionally managed, authoritarian regimes were established to secure their survival, were their effort to mak a difference, or a leap as in Europe was not found, Most resources went to Islamists who distribute Qur’an without doing any effort to promote logic, and reasoning which science depend on. Instead, people were interested in the form not the content. The media served well in this regard. And justice was lost or practiced among the few who are wealthy or supporters of the status quo. Theologians have lost their credibility by conforming to the regimes who appoint them. Intellectuals were supressed and presoned. There is no city or wealthy family in the Arab nations takes lead to support sciences and rules of research for a Renaisance like Florence in Italy-Europe.

In conclusion, a Renaisance cannot be established in a land without the basic principles of thinking and reasoning of science. These basic principle in the Arab lands still not existant. Instead, what we see, is promoting theologians to lead the society whith their mysterious interpretations and solutions of scientifc fields and everyday life. We need a group of men, similar to the man described by William Shakespeare in Hamlet: “What a piece of work is a man, how noble in reason, how infinite in faculties, in form and moving, how express and admirable in action, how like an angel in apprehension, how like a god!”

2 Minutes with Dr. Hasan Yahya –

Errors of Theologians and Liberal Scientists –

Errors of Theologians and Liberal Scientists

Hasan Yahya. Ph.ds – Arab American Encyclopedia-AAE)

Theories of Poverty –

Hasan A. Yahya, Ph.ds**

Poverty: defining poverty in quantitative terms is a controversial issue, as it is influenced by political and moral values, as well as by economics. Therefore, poverty can be defined as relative or absolute concept. Relative definition place a certain proportion of any society in the poverty category. Some social scientists consider poverty according to income level which can be described in the one-half of the national median income. Those who are lower than that level, they are considered under the national poverty line.

Absolute definitions of poverty set an income level below which a person or family cannot sustain a minimal nutritional standard of living.

Poverty level is recalculated each year to take into account changes caused by inflation and varies according to the size of families. In 1986, the poverty level was$11,203 for a family of four, and it ranged from $5,572 for a single person to $22,497 for a family of nine or more persons.

1. Blaming the Victim Theory:  There is a longstanding belief in America that the poor are to blame for their own misfortune. According to this view, we live in a free country and have equal opportunities to advance our selves through hard work. If someone is poor, it must be due to some personal failing. This view is widely rejected by social scientists simply because poverty is not the fault of the poor, but the result of conditions over which the victims have no real control. (Ryan, 1976),

2. The Culture of Poverty:   The idea that there is a culture of poverty- a set of norms and values common to poor people-developed by anthropologist Oscar Lewis in a series of studies of slum dwellers in Mexico and Puerto Rico (1959). Lewis argued that the culture of poverty is characteristic of most urban poor the world over. Such culture develops an adaptive response to continuous deprivation for generations.

3. Structural Explanation of Poverty:  In the late 1960s and early 1970s, many social scientists became dissatisfied with explanations of poverty that focused on the personal and cultural qualities of the poor themselves. They began to look instead for structural explanations of poverty. Such explanations attribute conditions of poverty to persistent inequalities in the society, such as the distribution of power, wealth and other resources that, in effect, force some people to remain in poverty. Our ignorance regarding the problems of child abuse and child neglect is, in the year 1968, not quite total, but is severe enough to be inexcusable.

The Durban Review Conference (DRC) And the Muslim world

 The Durban Review Conference (DRC)

By Hasan Yahya, Ph.D

Posted by permission from wfol.tv originally published  on 11 March, 2009, at at this site:

Concerning the Durban Review Conference (DRC) an organization belong to the UN is dealing with Human rights too, to review and may be implement some practices to reduce religo-phobia, racism, and inequalities world wide. it  can be viewed in two ways: 1. The establishment of such organizations means a general failure of the UN, and its sub-organizations,   the  OIC is included,  where such organization can be formed in these nations long time ago to check policies and decisions made in earlier international meetings as a predatory committee. So it is expected that this failure will continue in the new named DRC organization, because the structure and the functions have no authority whatsoever, other than discussing previous failures of the UN and the OIC which gives more optimism on the new formed organization (DRC).

2. The other way to look at the DRC, is a step to revive the observed decline in the mother organization, the UN. And the DRC will help reshape the UN and other regional organizations to follow suit.

While the first view is pessimistic view, it has wide acceptability by many scholars on broad paradigms of world community cultural changes. And a failure will follow another in this case, and the world will continue structurally and functionally disabled.  The second view, with no testing measures is expected to enhance Human rights practices among cultures inherently in conflict. This expectations may lack new paradigms different from the old paradigms in social science to change the negative perceptions of each culture toward the other into positive perception of brotherhood and common interest. The new paradigm should be neutral in it hypotheses, theory and methodology. In other words, a grand theory is needed, unlike Marx theory of capitalism, and Comte’s static theory.

Karl Marx brought attention to the material side of human life, while Comte was interested in the spiritual side of human life, namely, religion and morality.  For Marx, a living humans,  needs to be fed and to cover self with clothe and be secured in a shelter, and propagate their species.  Therefore, human history must take these factors into consideration. This means the material side in life not the spiritual one. The call was clear for humankind to replace  religion by material factors lead to social unity. Thus, people engage in   of self-reproduction of material necessities from nature and reproduce through sexuality. These reproductive acts consist Marx’s material interpretation of history as laws of change according to material change.  The laws for Marx, where the transformation of having material technologies decide the social relations to production. By population growth and economic development, families become subordinate to the economy, which determines total societies According to Marx. But the trouble of such theorizing is that both reproduction by births and division of labor lead to inequality. Which at the end the consequence such theory will end up with domination of the intellectuals over others in the division of labor. Such domination have the ability to dictate other to follow. Sophistication of production employs more man-made capital. The division of labor becomes more specialized and complex, and the material capital accumulates and becomes concentrated in the few and the separation between capital and labor become clear. In Marx’s theory, when complexity grows it increases inequalities in having work and owning property, and the accumulation  power. Property becomes a determinant of domination  that contribute in alienation. In his theory of capitalism, Marx explained that the volume of commodities devalues the value of labor and leads to unemployment. Therefore, he reached this conclusion: The greater the domination of commodity production, the greater is the alienation of labor. For Marx, under communism, production imposes an equal distribution of duties and obligations. These inequalities result from inequalities in the distribution of  work and the control of property which leads to alienation and domination in the form of private individual ownership. Marx conclusion was that human beings are victims rather than beneficiaries of the division of labor which is abounds in exploitation. Inequality creates social classes which tend to divide the society in term of ownership and create conflict of interests in the capitalist society. According to Dahrendorf, conflict intensify  between classes, his concept of superimposition leads to a polarizing society.

For Plato in old times, laws set forth a conception of the city state, where every aspect of life is regulated by laws. For example, property, material interest, birth, marriage, and death are defined by law, the goal was a perfect moral harmony. For Plato, the laws of good state leads to order. In this state we find  conception of social order which was expressed gradually throughout history of social theory.  Comte for example, envisioned sociology as devoted to the discovery of the laws of social order and progress, which are conceptual  foci of the study of social statics  and dynamics. Where social dynamics is to explain progress through the three stages as correlated with human thinking progress of humankind to reach finally  to a moral stage. This theorizing is one aspect of human evolution in general. The world today, is not in agreement over evolutionary theories. Many cultures do not believe in such theory. Therefore, it should be replaced.   Two anti-ethical theories dominate the world, theUSAand its allies, and the Eastern block (RussiaandChina). Religion so far was vehicle  of such progress or regress. Because religion and morality are inextricably bound together.  These two functions are correlative; for unifying individuals and the society alike. In the process of molding the person, religion molds society. There is no need to discuss how religion achieve these unifying functions through intervening in the internal conflicts between the person egoistic and altruistic feelings, where religion takes the second side. Religion becomes the unifying role for any society. In the Muslim world, a person cannot conceive an object unless s/he experience submission, gratitude, or respect toward it. Therefore, the superior power for Muslims is the source of moral command which unify Muslims or other religions. The superior power plays in the form of attachment, and love, of  humanity. Humanity is only object makes life possible, as a source of thought which controls emotions and feelings.  Comte forgot how to make humanity possible by replacing God by this term: humanity as a new religion. Islam believes in humanity as a basic belief among all humans, regardless of color, nobility, national origin, or gender. The development of humanity in the western world have failed, the matrix of theoretical development provided by Comte’s ideas,  that order depends on anarchy of power abuse led to destructive impact on self-interest.  A more specific theories replaced Comte’s theory of humanity known as functional theories of understanding societies.  For example, Parson’s theory, where normative regulation  fulfils an integrative social function. Durkheim’s work using the concept of attachment  to society through religion, but by rules of moral discipline. In conclusion to these theories, opposition of self-interest and social order is becoming the theme of normative order theories.

The new theory of Crescentology propose a new type of logic, It does not take the spiritual or the material sides theories. Instead, it depends on certain universal concepts to reduce conflict not in the society itself, but among cultures and other societies as well.  Reciprocal True knowledge among is the first step in conflict resolution wither the society is capitalist or communist. Such knowledge leads to reciprocal true understanding, to true appreciation, which leads to the final stage of rational solution for conflicts which compromising on the ground of mutual respect.  Conflicts usually have “ins” and “outs”. Any organization carries within it the seeds of recurring instability. Furthermore, class conflict incite shift in leadership to shift in policies. Those in authority remain in their positions, but they adapt new policies. The leader  will be forced by the radical change of class struggle. Crescentology is a theory for cultural normalization on the long run, a new idea to solve individual and collective problems using sociology, psychology, and politics to create a weather ready begins with information, understanding, appreciation and compromising in a win/win approach.

Parsons drew an obvious conclusion that the direction  of scientific interest is theoretically determined. A theory does not only formulate what we know, but also tells us  what we want to know, that is, the question to which an answer is needed. Reciprocity obtains between fact and theory; being in a relationship of interdependence, neither is cause of the other. Crescentology in the frame of theories comes to invent a new approach to deal with conflict, while religion is an important factor as well as the material position, both will not be dealt with according the theory. What is important however, is manipulation new system of thinking to change inherited perceptions created by faith or material possessions. Here is a process of thinking have to be made possible for people to have reciprocal true knowledge as the first step no matter the two parties religion or class or color or sex on both micro and macro level. That’s why Crescentology is different from Marxist and Comtean theories. It is an intellectual process dealing with conflict rather than domination of one group over the other. Now I turn to the UN and its organizations. If the DRC will follow the spiritual or the material models to reduce human rights, the conference will fail as the OIC failing in solving the problems of Muslim world. Now we turn to the UNCHR and the DRC.

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), is a part of the United Nations Secretariat, has been given a unique mandate to promote and protect all human rights. Headquartered in Geneva, the Office is also present in some 50 countries. Headed by the High Commissioner for Human Rights, a position established by the General Assembly in 1993 to spearhead the United Nations’ human rights efforts, OHCHR takes action based on the unique mandate given it by the international community to guard and advocate for international human rights law.

The Human Rights Council in its resolution 3/2 also decided that at its organizational sessions the Preparatory Committee shall elect, on the basis of equitable geographic representation, a bureau for the Preparatory Committee and that, at the same session, the Preparatory Committee shall decided on all the relevant modalities for the Conference in accordance with established practice of the General Assembly, including deciding on the objectives of the Review Conference, the level at which the Review Conference shall be convened, regional preparatory initiatives, date and venue. In 2006, the United Nations General Assembly, in its resolution 61/149, decided to convene in 2009 a review conference on the implementation of the Durban Declaration and Program of Action. To this end, it requested the Human Rights Council to prepare this event, making use of the three existing and ongoing follow-up mechanisms, to formulate a concrete plan and to provide yearly updates and reports on this issue starting in 2007., during its organizational session, in August 2007the Preparatory Committee for the Conference set forth the objectives of the DRC as follows: 1. To review progress and assess implementation of the DRC and Program of Action by all members, national, regional and international levels, including assessing contemporary manifestations of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance, through an inclusive, transparent and collaborative process and identify concrete measures and initiatives for combating and eliminating all manifestations of the above mentioned diseases in order to foster the implementation of the DRC program of Action; 2. To assess the effectiveness of the existing Durban follow-up mechanisms and other relevant United Nations mechanisms dealing with the issues under discussion policies to reduce the above issues in order to enhance them; 3. To promote the universal ratification and implementation of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination and proper consideration of the recommendations of the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination; and finally, 4. To identify and share good practices achieved in the fight against the above mentioned diseases.

It is expected that coming conference for anti-racism review at Geneva, Switzerland20-24 April 2009 will evaluate progress towards the goals set by the World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance held in Durban, South Africain 2001. this means a review of the eight years passed since the first DRC conference which produced the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action, which provided an important new framework for combating the above mentioned diseases with a wide range of action-oriented measures.

At the request of the Preparatory Committee, the UN Secretary-General designated the High Commissioner for Human Rights as Secretary-General of the Review Conference, whose role is to ensure it is held successfully and in accordance with the wishes of the Member States. The High Commissioner’s Office is facilitating and supporting the entire review process, including the inter-governmental working group which prepares the outcome document of the Review Conference.

A final comment on the DRC, I may add here:  If UN failed to be independent of power domination, then we say the UN will do a good job. But in recent years we observed the UN was manipulated by super powers domination for their interests over the weak nations through military assistance and economic ties to guarantee domination and practicing a new slavery forms. There should be no control of spiritual or material ambitions any organization. Therefore, the Durban Review Conference (DRC) is similar to any other organization belong to the UN. And if the UN was dominated by super powers, then the (DRC) will follow the guidelines of the UN, and decisions taken by the conference will have the same impact as the vast majority of decisions made by the UN resolutions stamped by domination of the super powers. What can the DRC do in this situation?

The NGO however, would be more effective in this case than the DRC. In membership, they belong to their self-scholarship and philosophy which reflect human concerns rather than governmental concerns of people domination by force. The OIC, taking the DRC as a final resort to solve human rights decline in the member states as well as other locations around the world will be governmental representations which can be easily described by bias selection or nomination of their governments. The most effective Conference should be distinguished by its members affiliation to human rights, not affiliation for political parties or ideologies. In this case, the NGO would serve this purpose to disseminate knowledge for understanding, to increase cultural appreciation of others, and reach a state wwhere people come to a compromise final step to reduce hate, racism, hostility, and injustices committed against human rights. This vision, will enhance the role of the NGO’s and make its activities more effective than the UN and its DRC. So the DRC, Conference in 2009 to review  the implementation of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action. To do that the DRC will use of the three existing and ongoing follow-up mechanisms. The UNHRC as acting the role of the Preparatory Committee for the DRC conference to plan three follow-up sessions.

In the first session, Governments will take a number of organizational decisions, including the provisional rules of procedure of the DRC, sources of funding for the Conference, accreditation of NGOs, objectives of the Conference, the organization of regional preparatory meetings, and others. The second session convened in Geneva took several important decisions by the Preparatory Committee concerning 1) the accreditation of several NGOs, the dates, duration and venue of the Review Conference, 2) the structure of the Draft Outcome Document of the Review Conference and; 3) the creation of an Open-ended Inter-governmental Working Group to review recommendations submitted by different members of the DRC.

In conclusion, I believe that these sessions will not reduce conflict of civilizations in terms of human rights. The serious need for a new approach still persists.   May be a Supreme Review Council as a new organization in its way, but also destined to fail if constructed and functioned according the UN, the DRC or the OIC models. In many places the  theme of human rights have failed in the Middle East,  Africa and centralAsia, and that’s a proof of international failure on conflict management. The birth of the new model will not be long. I hope.

Updated: Prof Yahya: 911 is a Trojan Horse by Neo-Cons

Dr. Hasan Yahya

Written by Kazi Mahmood with permission from wfol.tv (published in 2009 originally at: this site ).

Interview of Hasan Yahya, Ph.D, Muslim thinker and author of at least 16 books (in 2012 – 90 books). He has lived ‘a decent life’ in the United States for a long time, have three boys, one daughter, and 8 grandchildren. He was a sociology professor, retired now, for health causes, having had a liver transplant two years ago. “Believe it or not, I published last month over than 16 books in one month, both in Arabic and English. I should be recommended by a third party to enter the Guiness book of records. I believe,” he said.

Here is the Part 1 of the very long Interview of Professor Hassan Yahya, Phd: Question: We had 911 and the US wars against Muslims (Facts tells us that was not a war against terrorism but one against Muslims) but we also had a rise in Muslim militancy (Mujahideen) in the process. Should the Muslims abandon their rights to fight back on their own lands (Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia etc) and let the western world re-conquer to rule the Muslim lands again?

Answer: Responding to your first question about 9/11, I am convinced that the Muslims were the Trojan Horse. Those who used Muslims to do the 9/11 were highly organized and futurists like your site (I mean American capitalists, here). Their interest was known widely among many thinkers in the US, including my self. What happened is similar to what happened two hundred years ago, when Darwin came out with his theory which was given as reasons to justify colonialism of Asian and African nations.

Islam from the beginning was targeted. ONLY because it is the forming force for unity, not because it is Islam. The significance of Islamic faith is dangerous for the West, as communist was in South America. I don’t want to explain Islam here, because we both know very well, the power of Islam and Muslims when it comes to beliefs and simple practices (Muhammad-pbuh-was one person). The United States as a leading power brought most of the world to stand against Saddam Hussein, because he was representing nationalism as Jamal Abdul-Naser of Egypt (and Gathafi for a short time). Even though Saddam was not that respected Muslim, but he had a vision, unfortunately he was used by the West (US and Britain) to pass their policies of domination of the Arab world. They used him and gave him the green light to occupy Kuwait (this is recorded by many resources). He took the bait.

Saddam, al-Qaida, and Taliban acted with misunderstanding of the age, and self power, and gave America the power to deceive the rulers in the area, for the purpose of neocolonialism of the OIL world (which happen to be Muslim world). As you know, King Faisal paid for his life for his oil embargo in 1973. (It took two long years from CIA to plan his assassination). Saddam missed the opportunity to defeat his enemies when he had the chance. As Taliban and al-Qa’ida did. Unfortunately, they dealt with little planning in facing America. Had they succeeded they would have hurt the interest of the Western World. Unfortunately this was a game, and they lost it because they did not understand the game RULES.

But this is not an excuse to invade Afghanistan, Iraq, and any other militant Islamic groups. But the US timing was smart. Taliban and al-Qai’dah missed calculated after the defeat of Communism. In my opinion, they should havewaited at least 20 years of planning before rebelling.

Saddam had his mistakes, he had the chance to withdraw his army and save nationalism, (or at least to keep his regime). But arrogance, ignorance, and miscalculations led him to his death and defeat. I can tell you that the opportunity for progress and hope of new Arab and Muslim future have been assassinated for years to come by smart planning of those who know (Western Info-tech plus knowledge), it was not the matter against Islam at the beginning, because in South America when USA was planning to assassinate revolutionary leaders, they were not Muslims. But because they threaten America’s interests. American interests in the middle East can be summed in two points : Domination of rulers to suppress the people under their regimes, and to control the resources of the lands (especially oil). They do not care about Islam, if Islam was not the leading power to unite people.

As of the answer to the second part of the question I say: No, Muslims should not abandon  their rights to fight back on their own lands (Afghanistan,  Iraq, Somalia, etc., ) and let the western world re-conquer to  rule the Muslim lands again.

I can give a counter question before answering: Can Militant Muslims (Mujahideen) with their limited leadership and resources defeat the Western powers?  If your answer was negative, then I can tell you that they can save their powers accept defeat for a while, until they become strong. Prepare new generation peacefully for the future. Saladin, in his times decided to liberate Jerusalem, he asked the people to send their 9 years children, and he trained them to be fighters. When they became 16 years old,  His army was ready to defeat the crusades.  He  achieved his goal then by planning and using time. These days, the enemies inside are more than the enemies outside the Muslim Communities.(The CIA and the Mossad article),  Muhammad (pbuh) negotiated with the Kuffar, in Hudaybiyah but opened Makkah after two years and achieved his goal of conquering Makkah. He waited the right time. Saddam lacks wisdom to stand against the World powers after 8 years war with Iran. Al-Qai’da and Taliban undermined the Western powers, they had time to prepare. Unfortunately, they, like Saddam Hussein got the bait to involve themselves in fighting America  after a short period of the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan. They were out of history, because they did not plan well in the first place. International game have to be played very well by the rules of the game. Today, wars are not between man and man, as you know, it is between minds, minds control knowledge and technology, and minds control only women and weak persons. (It is not the time of Muhammad-pbuh-and Kuffar or Makkah). Our time is different, and has its rules.

It is the time of two worlds: the week, ignorant, emotional, and spiritual compared with the strong, the technological, the rational, and secular  (not spiritual) world. Time have changed. The West have changed, but the Muslims did not. They still living in the medieval age in terms of technology and power.
Question: You mentioned that ‘Muslims have to change in order  to change others’. What changes do you wish to see among  Muslims?
Answer: Recent history of Arabs and Muslim countries shows that these nations are “hash in Arabic” have no ingredients of national survival. They are not in any way considered Arabs, or even  considered Muslims. Numbers doesn’t help a nation to survive . It is the quality of the people and their resources which sustain national identity and survival. NONE of the Arab countries (not)  nations, had the principles of a modern state. They still living a tribal life, the tent is replaced by villas and houses or palaces, but people did not change. illiteracy rate, private ownership, nepotism, and favoritism still dominating all aspects of life.

How can you find in a short time among these countries who can imagine to defeat the West by words and beliefs alone. “w’aiddu lahum,“ what do Muslims prepare for victory? Militancy these days is beneficial for those who serve it. They have to stop exploiting the minds of good people among them and around them.  Religion is not a property to belong to one person, or nation. It belongs for God alone. And people have the choice to believe or not to believe. I think religion will be much cherished than what is it today.

Question: Should Muslim fighters against Nato/Western forces be called terrorists? If that is the case, what about  ‘state terror’ by Israel, US, UK and so on?

Answer: Killing innocent people cannot and should not be justified. But reason tells us to accept defeat temporary, and plan very well to have victory. I am against war in general, but the land is for God, and we only distribute its resources among people. A new level of understanding that people have limited physical and mental capabilities may lead to plan for short as well as long range plans.  History is our professor. The state or individual terror will survive forever. (survival of the fittest have to be rejected) Israel will vanish in 50 years by itself, not by the power of the Palestinians or Arabs. Therefore, Palestinians  have to live peacefully with the enemy until they become strong, and live a decent life anywhere on the Arabic and Muslim world until time comes.

(wal-Ayyamu Duuwalun in Arabic ) nothing survive forever, or one day for you, the other day against you.  The problem is not Israel, the problem is the Arab and Muslim governments, and of course Hamas included. If Hamas leaders think that they will defeat Israel, they are dreaming. They have to accept the defeat to live in peace. Japan was defeated in recent history. But survived as a leading nation. I think to feel defeated one time, much better than to be defeated and suffering all times. Let the new generation decide. Bring happiness to the land, and the people of the land.

Questions: Political Islam is a reality though it is not really  seen in Muslim states among Muslim leaders and politicians  but that does not mean it does not exist. How would you  define ‘Political Islam’ or would you reject the notion of ‘Political Islam’?

Answer: Islam is a religion. And religion alone cannot build a civilization. Religion makes people dogmatic to their beliefs. After the four guided Khalifs, there was no Islamic state or politics other than tribal politics. There was tribal governments, the Umayyads were making the Arabs as first citizens and others second citizens. The Abbasids was a  tribe government too with making room for the non Arabs more than the Arabs. The fractions after while became local rulers in their countries, until the Othman empire  came and ruled the whole Muslim countries for five centuries.

The time for independence of most  Muslim and Arab countries is so short. They almost all have very short time of leaving the basic needs level as they were connected with certain ties with the occupiers of their lands.

In these days Arab and Muslim governments were born and still survive by the aid of foreign powers except in some cases. They are not states. Most of them are puppets. They lack identity. Islam is like any other religion and is not accurate to describe governments with tribal names. Political systems have to be neutral in serving their citizens  and to be  defined as a nation. There should be  new styles of political states, with little influence of religion in general. People have to learn that religion is a personal belief not a national one or global one. It’s God’s will to have Heaven and Hill.

Question: You said: “At least, let’s give America the  chance to go back to moral ethics in  dealing with  international big issues,” What chance should we Muslims give the US when it plundered Muslim nations,  killing innocents (still killing) and has no intent on stopping? These are facts, not emotional statements.

Answer: If you understand what I mean by making religion as a personal rather than national belief, you will guess that I mean Arabs and Muslims have to know who they are, and what is their power in changing (not modern) times.  Freedom should be respected, minority groups have to be respected, nationality should be defined, and resources have to serve the public. Religion, in the Muslim and Arab world these days, is promoting disunity and national dogmatism and asabiyyah, which is similar to apartheid. I can tell you that Islam is not found in the so-called Muslim countries. I am sure it can be found among individuals and groups, but it is absent from governments.

Why we carry Islam in our hearts, while we insult it in our practice and dogmatic disrespect of others. The whole world is going to leave religion someday, no one can deny this fact in Islam. The Qur’an and tradition say. If God whishes all people to be Muslims it will be an easy job for him, but it’s His Will not to do that. God also, said: If you deny Qur’an, or there is no God, bring your proof.
God negotiate with his slaves, can’t people negotiate with others? Muslims have to decide in their totality to be in the side of America from now on. To begin building their nations and their powers, to bring freedom and liberty for the minds and actions for all citizens and guests from the immigrants. America is coming to its senses someday, if we become closer to it in respecting the way of citizen’s life. Nothing remains the same.  Electing Obama may give some inclination to acceptance of the unaccepted before.

Finally, the Arabs need an Arab Ataturk. One who have the courage and power to put religion aside, and deal with daily problems of the people. Such as education freedom, democracy, liberty, and social progress. May be this idea is too soon, but it’s coming may be in the next 20 years. I guess.
